Kitchen Carcass Manufacturer by Strata Panels  has launched a range of premium quality kitchen carcasses using Raw MDF; melamine faced chipboard, melamine faced MDF, veneered MDF, and laminated MDF. As well as offering standard size units, the Cambridge based manufacturer, will also produce bespoke sizes, realising that not all kitchens are the same size.  All Strata’s cabinets have a durable, long lasting 2mm thick edging giving a quality look and feel where paper thin edging materials have traditionally been used.

MFC ‘melamine faced chipboard’ is a composite wood, which is made by mixing machined wood chips with a strong resin. It can be supplied in a wide range of colours, patterns and textures, including popular wood-grain appearance (contact us for details). Melamine faced chipboard is a cost-effective alternative to the use of solid wood timber

MDF being approximately 10 per cent denser than chipboard (720 kg/m3 as opposed to 650 kg/m3) gives better screw retention meaning doors and drawer runners stay in position longer and is also less absorbent should spillages occur.  All carcasses are made using solid 18mm thick MDF (19mm in the case of real wood veneer) there are no thin backs or drawer bases.

Our carcasses are available in:

Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC)

Melamine faced MDF (MFMDF)
(White, Gray, Black, Oak)
Light Oak Veneered MDF

Strata have over 30 years experience producing furniture and their 11,000 sq ft factory with its state of art machinery is ideally suited to this new adventure.
